
Behind the New Raspberry White Chocolate Range
How a guess, a lot of creativity, and one standout idea became our latest cookie dough.
This flavour didn’t start as a launch plan, a mood board or a meeting like all of the others. It started as a game we put on the internet, and a lot of people got very, very invested.
Let's go back in time
Back in October 2025, we announced our 50k giveaway. At the time, we knew we wanted to do something fun, something that felt like a proper thank you to everyone who’d been supporting Yo‑Bar and watching us grow. We didn’t realise quite how big it would become.
The idea was simple: a secret code that you could guess via a page on the Yo-Bar website, hidden through hints on our Instagram stories over a week. For example: 'Eleven characters. One milestone. All caps.' And 'the second part of the code is “something you can catch, but not with your hands.”' That was it.
As soon as the game went live on our website, things went a bit wild. We were constantly refreshing submissions, thousands of people attempting to crack the 50k code. People were guessing at all hours.
In the end, only around 200 people cracked it.
The code was FIFTY K FEVER.

The first person to get it right won a card giving them a free Yo‑Bar for a month. The next five got a buy one get one free card valid for a month. And everyone who guessed correctly got the chance to submit an idea for a custom cookie dough flavour.
When we opened up submissions, we were blown away by how creative people were. We saw Red Velvet, Golden Gaytime and Rocky Road. Ideas we’d never considered and some we’d secretly hoped someone would suggest. Going through them took time. A lot of time. Our team worked through each option with Tub O' Dough, testing what would actually work in real life- flavour, texture, sourcing, everything.
Eventually, one idea just kept coming back to the top.

Introducing Maddi
On October 23rd at 6:18 am, Maddi submitted her guess - and her flavour. She’d cracked the code, and she suggested white chocolate cookie dough with freeze‑dried raspberries. It just made sense.
Once we started testing, it felt obvious. The base dough from Tub O Dough is already a crowd favourite. Adding mini white chocolate chips gave it that creamy sweetness, and the freeze‑dried raspberry sherbet balls completely changed the texture in the best way. They’re crunchy, a little tangy, and they give the dough these pink pops that make it look as fun as it tastes.
This was one of those rare times where everything just worked. The tests passed. The flavour held up. Nobody wanted to tweak it.
Somewhere in between testing and tasting, we started talking about what to actually call the dough. We really wanted Maddi’s name to be part of it - after all, it was her idea - so we threw a few thoughts around together. Maddi told us she loves a pun (same) and that she was, quite literally, mad about raspberry white chocolate. That’s when it clicked.

Simple, fun, and exactly how we all felt by that point. It just fit.
We invited Maddi to our Carlton store opening so she could try it properly for the first time and see it on the toppings bench. Watching that moment - someone seeing their idea become a real thing - reminded us why we love doing stuff like this. She was genuinely excited, and we were genuinely proud.
That store was the first to launch the dough before it rolled out to the rest of our stores shortly after.

Raspberry White Chocolate Balls
While all this was happening, we were also playing around with ways to bring the raspberry and white chocolate theme into other parts of Yo‑Bar. That’s where the new topping came from - raspberry gummies, coated in white chocolate and dusted with freeze‑dried raspberry. It’s simple, but it works. With yoghurt, with the dough, or just on its own if we’re being honest.


We’re really grateful to everyone who guessed, everyone who imagined a flavour, to Maddi for trusting us with her idea, and to Tub O' Dough for always being willing to experiment alongside us.
